What Focus Entails -Set The Goal

I have the tendency to go missing in action quite frequently.  I frequently withdraw and take a bit of time just to figure out what my next move is.  In times past this was a coping mechanism for when I felt like I needed to reward myself or for when I wanted to impersonate an ostrich and stick my head in the sand.

But lately I’ve been inspired to change things up a bit.  I think its more than a coincidence or a trend that so many coaches and marketing experts are talking about FOCUS.  When I see that word I think of the ability to recall the original intention and not allow yourself to be pulled away from your goal.

Focus entails you setting reverse booby traps for yourself so that when distractions come (and you know they will), when obstacles present themselves and life gets in the way, you get snatched off the treadmill and plopped right back into the role you must play to fulfill your own dream and realize your own vision.

These booby traps can be the types of reminders (or enforcers) that keep you working when you know that you have to get the job done.  Like a daily schedule you keep in front of you or an accountability partner.  Or they can be as subtle as making sure you take a regular daily power nap so you can be refreshed  and ready to go when you have work to do in the evening  or late at night.

In either case create a way for you to ALWAYS  BE in tune with your own goal and intention so that you can move towards it and have it move towards you.  If you can’t see your goal you can’t make your way to your goal. – {HighRoadism for the day}
