There’s a part of you that you are hiding from the world. That part of you that is holding you back from the life you really want to live. It sabotages your dreams and keeps you stuck in the situations & routines that you are so sick and tired of. The job you hate, superficial friendships, overspending, infidelity, losing time on social networking sites. The list goes on and on.
Are you up for a challenge? I mean a battle of epic proportions. The kind that makes Darth Vader & Luke Skywalker look like just another schoolyard tussle. This is what The High Road is really about. I’m inviting you to join me on the challenge to defeat your own shadow.
Yeah that’s what I said. Your shadow. Somehow, somewhere each one of us has picked up some stories about ourselves and what may have happened in our lives. You know how they go. I’m: Not good enough…Not attractive enough…It doesn’t matter…Its too hard… None of them are true or real. But still we carry these stories around like a sack of dirty clothes that oddly enough we’re trying to hide in our back pockets. Its the reason why we feel weighed down & overwhelmed so often.
Know Thyself – Know Thy Enemy
That sack has taken on a life of its own & has become another you. It whispers lies about you in your ear until you believe them and act like its the truth. It takes a whole lot of energy and effort to carry around all that stuff and put our game face on like we’ve got our act together. And there is a price we all pay for it. From relationships to finances to personal happiness and inner peace, everyone wants their situation to be better but how do you really make the difference?
Prepare to Kick Some Butt The Shadow Effect – Battle of the Inner Mind
What could you do if you rejected those lies? Turn & face those parts of yourself that you were afraid to look at. Then make up your mind that there will be plenty of battles to fight in life but I’m not going to let this crap get the best of me. You’ve already got what it takes to win the battle. Now is the time for Raising Consciousness.
Over the past 10 years or so I’ve been learning what it means to face and overcome things I didn’t like about myself. I think Debbie Ford has put together an awesome program not only for self improvement but for self mastery.
